Corton from the Aloxe side plus Grands Lolières. This comes from a new source, the first time Ben has found something which corresponds to his image of Corton. Not a deep colour and the bouquet shows light but fine gentle red fruits. There is a little more weight of fruit on the palate at the back and a fine persistent finish. Some ethereal qualities, yet so far from the (incorrect) blockbuster image of Corton.
