"The Rosso di Montalcino Colto 2020 is spicy and strongly perfumed. It shows raspberries, dried violets, spiced orange peel and a hint of smoke. The Rosso di Montalcino Colto 2020 presents itself on the palate with undeniable elegance, contrasting a salty note with a vibrant ripe fruit and a hint of acidic citrus that glimmers towards the end. It leaves a note of blue and purple flowers and residual acidity that retains a wonderful freshness. The 2020 is very balanced and conveys both opulence and seriousness. Il Colto is a selection of all the Romitorio vineyards, including a 10-hectare parcel of experimental clones from all over Tuscany which is now 14 years old."
