Braida
The name ‘Braida’ began with Guiseppe Bologna, who carried it as a nickname and passed it on to his grandson, Giocomo Bologna. Giacomo inherited the family vineyard as well as unconditional love for his land and wine.
Giacomo ventured to produce a Barbera that could rank with the great wines of the World. He was the first to realize that Barbera could age brilliantly in small oak barrels. He created 3 famous Crus, ‘Uccellone’, ‘Bricco della Bogotta’ And ‘Ai Suma’. The extraction, clarity, and superb balance is unbelievable.
Braida, a Barbera specialist, also produces ‘Montebruna’, easygoing style with bright pure fruit, round and soft on the palate, and enough tannins to give some grip.
