Mas Saint Louis

The estate was established by Geniest Family over a hundred year ago. The vineyard is a plot of over 30 hectares located on the southern part of the appellation. The farming is traditional and respectful of the environment. The soil is sandy made of rolled rocks terrace and molasse layer. Those famous rocks are gathering heat during the day and relieve it during the night, this natural system bring the grapes to its optimal maturity. At harvest time, the grapes are

de-stemmed and then crushed before being pumped into traditional concrete tanks. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in tank and the wines are then aged for 18+ months in large, oak casks. Mas St Louis’ Wines are as elegant as Pinot Noir and their texture is magnificent.
