Andre Jacquart

Domaine André Jacquart is a family owned Champagne house based in Vertus, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs.  With family vineyards acquired in 1908, the champagne house André Jacquart Champagne was created by André Jacquart, in 1958.  Since 2004, the estate is run by Marie Doyard, granddaughter of André Jacquart, who implemented 3 major changes: vinification in oak barrels to gain complexity, long ageing period to bring higher quality and low dosage to keep the wines unique.

These 3 techniques and a lack of malolactic fermentation are hallmarks of the House.

Renowned for their brilliance with the Chardonnay grape, their estate covers 16 hectares in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Vertus.  Le Mesnil-sur-Oger has been ranked as Grand Cru since 1950.  Champagnes from this terroir are tense, sharp and straightforward with high minerality and benefit from a long period of aging.  Vertus is a Premier Crus situated in the southern part of the Côte des Blancs and champagnes from Vertus are mineral, lively and round.

The house’s current annual production is 90,000 bottles of elegant, graceful and classically styled champagnes.  In 2019 the estate was certified HVE 3 for its sustainable winegrowing practices.
